Hello out there!

It made me sad to see my last post every time I checked in on our poor little abandoned family blog, so just in case there is anyone out there who still wonders where we are and how we're doing.. this blog's for you!  ;)

Alice is now 5, and she is also known as "Mommy's little nutball."  She is a ton of fun and truly has the biggest imagination of any child I've ever met.  She is still learning how to eat, but otherwise, she is growing up just fine.  She loves playdough, painting, and playgrounds.  I can't believe she will be a kindergarten cutie next year.

Lucy is 7, and she is still my girly girl.  She just started a new charter school last week, and so far so good!  We are working through her physical and learning difficulties as they come up with the help of the awesome team at Texas Children's Hospital.  But socially? This girl is on FIRE!  She has lots of friends, dances with a competitive team, and loves participating in our children's community theater.  She loves Barbies, high heels, and swimming.

Ben is turning 10 next week, and I can't believe he is growing up so fast.  He's everyone's best friend and he LOVES to make people laugh.  He is doing so well in school, and he makes us very proud.  He's also on competitive dance team this year, and he is one of the "company kids" at our community theater too.  He can't wait for the summer!  He also loves playing sports, swimming, and Pokemon.

Bella is 11... how the heck did that happen?!?  She is our little tender-hearted, empathetic, sweetie.  She is a math wiz, and loves reading all the Cat Warriors books she can get her hands on.  She's also on competitive dance team, a "company kid" in theater, and she is appearing around town as Sofia the First for charity and paid events.  She absolutely LOVES to be on stage whether it is singing, dancing, acting, or all of the above in musical theater.

Sophie is 14, going on 15.  She's finishing up her first year of high school.  She has blossomed this year... we call her all GLOWn up.  She's really become such a happy, confident young woman with the quickest dry wit I've ever heard.  She makes me laugh every day with her witty observations about the world around her.  She is obsessed with all things THEATER, but especially musicals.  She's also taking dance this year at school and at our studio.  She also does princess appearances as Snow White and made it all the way to Senior Company at our community theater.  We love seeing her shine.

Adam and I embarked on a "take back our health" mission.  He has lost 65 lbs this year, and I've lost 75lbs.  But he started running, so I expect him to overtake me soon... haha!  I don't run unless something really scary is chasing me.  ;)  We've done a total diet overhaul and I'm taking vitamins to manage my health conditions.  It's been great!  I'm a little over 20lbs to my goal, and then, we're hoping to grow our family by two feet.  We'll see!

Thanks for checking in.  I'm honestly so busy with my beautifully chaotic family life, my photography work, and being a stage mom for all these babies that I rarely have time to write anything down anymore.  But I am happy that I have this record of their childhoods.  It definitely goes so fast, I could cry... and I don't want to forget how much I loved each day being their mama.
